Hands on with the Bulova Devil Diver

Hands on with the Bulova Devil Diver

REALLY like this, but I fear at 44mm with a cushion case, it will just wear too big...kinda pricey too

Spurred on by the success of last year’s Archive Series Oceanographer Devil Diver, Bulova has recently announced the release of two new color variants to expand its heritage-informed collection. The new watches are, except for updated dial colors, identical to the last year’s non-limited, slightly less true-to-the-original, 44mm-wide Devil Diver, originally available with a black and red color scheme. While the new dial colors do not represent a totally new watch, the pieces are bold and representative of Bulova’s (and, indeed, the entire watch industry’s) ever-increasing interest in reissues.

The orange/blue is tasty, and gives me a boner. Alas, way too much money (and, from what I've read, way too big) for what you're getting.

They almost had me with the Doxa look until I saw the armatures connecting the Bulova letters. Didn't even bother to punch the A hole - that's just cheap, sloppy, and lazy.

Very doxa-like in appearence. I like it alot. The bulova name on the dial is kind of weird though.

That's a lot of money for a Chinese-assembled watch. That's Bulova's dirty little secret these days, and yet nobody in the "watch media" ever references it.
