The embedded system uses special editions of the commercial Aquaracer 500M Calibre 72 Countdown chronograph, customized for each sailor’s specific tasks and wirelessly linked directly to the boat’s onboard computers.

Huh.  A real use for a "smart watch".  Thumbs up.

Of course, this old, grey Skyhawk thinks that this technology would be an excellent tactical 'force multiplier' for our joint services; perhaps then our military will be propelled full speed into the 20th century...nope, that's not a typo; as a Sailor and an Airman, I was - and still am - appalled at the pure kluge still in use by our military branches...we're talking Windows95 here.  Damn, but I miss Grace Hopper...
