My Grails

Post by gregl515 » Sat Jan 25, 2014 7:55 am

My grails are the 1953 model Glycine Airman, Rolex GMT Master and Seiko 300 m Marine Master Auto. I think if I could have only one, it would be the Rolex. I love the watch from the old Magnum PI days.

Mine reflect my simple tastes--not to mention my ignorance about the best watches in the world.  Nonetheless, my three most wanted:

(1) Rolex Sea Dweller (Red Dial)

(2) Patek Philippe Calatrava

(3) Cartier Ballon Bleu

Perhaps a Most Wanted poster would be both appropriate and helpful...

I would say any of the really complicated watches with moonphase, GMT function, and all the other little 'bells and whistles' in a platinum case with a price tag that equals my salary for the next 30 years.

I want a simple grail. While a grail to me, I understand it not being a grail for others. I want the O&J Early Bird. I just missed one on Watchrecon.
