EMG NEMO DIVER-HANDS ON WATCH REVIEW

Post by Artman » Thu Apr 04, 2019 8:27 pm

By Don Evans, watchreport.com

Many microbrands are run by one guy, but the EMG Nemo is the brainchild of 3 watch enthusiasts from around the world. Ed, Derek, and Eric brought EMG to life just about 2 years ago and the Nemo Diver is their third model. Coming in at 40mm, the Nemo is a vintage styled diver running a Miyota 9015 automatic movement, a domed sapphire crystal, and beads of rice bracelet. If yellow is not your speed, the Nemo comes in 5 other colors, including an interesting powder blue. Also available is white, black, blue and hunter green.

Interestingly, although this is a micro, and should totally blow, it doesn't. I kinda like it. It reminds me of my old Doxa Divingstar, without all the baggage that Doxa always carries.

I got the yellow one at first. I liked it so much that I grabbed both the blues. It’s hard to find divers in 40mm or below, so this gave me that and fun colors in a decent watch.

The solid end link beads of rice is made super well too, it’s comfortable and looks good.

Much nicer look in your pics...dig the teal (?) dial color

I kind of like those in yellow and the darker blue dial. Not a fan of domed crystals but it doesn't really look like this one obscures the dial. Allison, are yours easy to read at an angle?

Yes Mark, they read easy at an angle, pretty good angles too. Especially compared to my vintage Aquadive with a domed crystal...forget about it at a slight angle.
