Couldn't resist a Deep Blue

Post by GeorgeH » Mon May 27, 2019 12:13 pm

Although I am in the process of converting my collection to mostly "Swiss Made", I couldn't resist the 40% off coupon at DEEP BLUE and grabbed an orange dial NATO 300 diver. I watched a YouTube review of the NATO 300 and never realized it was a homage to the Seiko SKX007. The Deep Blue comes with a Sapphire Crystal and the Seiko NH 36 auto movement (day/date) and very good lume. Over the years I have owned 74 Seikos, but never had the iconic SKX007, so @ $159 I went for the deep blue.

I believe the Deep Blue is 44mm x 14mm. The 007 is 42mm x 13mm and has the 7S26 movement which doesn't hack and is non-hand windable. Also Hardlex crystal vs Sapphire in the Deep Blue. I have owned several Deep Blues and never had any problems...a good value if you use the 40% coupon.

That deal is hard to beat. I’m looking forward to the pictures and your write up.
