Factory Refurbished

Post by Budman2k » Mon Jun 10, 2019 5:01 am

Anybody here ever buy a factory refurbished watch? I was looking at a nice Swiss made watch that is factory refurbished at a pretty nice discount. Would love to hear your experience if any.

Thanks,

I’ve never bought a factory refurbished watch, but I don’t think I would hesitate if it was one I liked and wanted.

I recently purchased an ALPINA Startimer Men's AL-247B4S6 from an eBay seller that was Manufacturer Refurbished and came with a 2 yr US warranty from the seller.
The watch had a MSRP Tag of $595 and I paid $175 shipped.

So far it looks good and functions without any problems. Getting a 2 year warranty swayed me to buy "Manufacturer Refurbished"

BTW Citizen has acquired Alpina (it still says "Swiss Made" at the bottom of the dial)

I do not have experience but wouldn't hesitate if accompanied with a stamped/signed Manufacturer receipt as proof it was refurbished there.
