Debating
Saw this on MOT. I’m thinking I will be able to get one cheaper used at watchrecon. It’s not a must have, it’s a watch I wouldn’t mind having. There is 8% back if I go through befrugal. I’d have to get a bracelet for it and I’m not sure I would wear it that much, then again it might surprise me.

It's the right color for reading under water, too.

Very nice! Go for it. Peer pressure is mounting!
Devil’s advocate it’s orange and for that reason alone it would be sold or gifted away. Somethings I just can’t do.

Have heard many great things about these. At that price, even if you sold it you wouldn’t take a bath.
Go for it.

Re: Debating
With the perspective of the vast expanse and heritages of the watches in your collection in mind: 37% off (BFD), 821 D movement, or whatever the hell Miyota 82xx that translates too, proly 21,600 BPH (BFD), 200 M (not ATM as listed in the Bloomies ad) water resistance (BFD), and last but not least, you have to buy it new SS shoes unless you have something you can lace up for it, which severely eats into that discount.
So what we have here is just another pedestrian 200M dive watch on a jippo-strippo strap that really adds nothing of merit (STPO, that is) to your collection.
Fuck it.
Although, hunting down an original might be cool.

Thank you. I have had it in the cart, but just couldn’t hit the pay for it button. I think at 300 I would have done it, maybe I’ll get a used one for that price later on. I seem to be more picky as I get older and Eddie is going to put out a Caribbean remake on tz-uk at 40mm. I think his will wear a lot smaller and I can have a variety of colors to choose from. I think I’ll wait for that.

^^^When Eddy starts signup for his version, please let us know. I don’t check TZ-UK often but would want in on it.
Well, I thought I had an account at TZ-UK but evidently I don’t. And the site says it is closed to new registration.

Be signed in on his watch website when they open and be quick to purchase because his stuff usually doesn’t last for an hour. It goes quick once he opens it for sale.

I like that Smiths a lot- quite true to the specs of the O-W original. Very cool, indeed.
The consternation about the red oranges and orange lookin' yellows might be more of a reflection of the photography than an accurate representation of the actual pantones, but I imagine that Eddie guy has seen the proofs, has the prototypes, that is, so he'd proly know. I dig the blue dial and the orange - or is it yellow - dial with the blue bezel.
Do you know if anything has been decided about movements, (to come in at $500'ish, I'd guess Miyota, but hope he'd pop in the high-beat) the final choice of bracelet (I like the BOR), and whatnot, or does he release the final specs when the watches are about to be released for sale? I didn't have time to go through the entire thread, hoping you know. If one has to be fast to buy one, that will likely exclude me, but it certainly has me interested.

I only know what’s in the thread. The first prototypes Eddie didn’t like, he is getting more that are actually yellow and orange instead of the ones he showed.
