Incoming…

Post by Ocean » Sun May 16, 2021 9:41 pm

Most of you know my view on startups and pre-orders. If not I’m very very pissed most of the time. Now this wasn’t exactly on radar and I was definitely not going to but happened to find it’s grandpa today so ordered it. It’s not vintage but it is a vintage name.

Waltham is Swiss?
Old brand, but I thought they were Chinese made now
That was exactly what I thought and did a lot of research on this one. I think it’s a one off.

I nearly said Waltham, but I didn't think they were still in the game..

Looks very nice none-the-less.

That big crown gives my aging eyes and arthritic fingers a bit of a stiffy.

I really do like the look of the dials and hands. The three hander at 41mm is sized fine but I'm thinking that crown will make it wear much larger. No mention that I could find on case thickness, but it seems pretty thick. Great looking watch, only concern is how wearable that case is.

Ebels are a lot like women that lack a low cut dress that zips up the side...neither get the love that they deserve...

It’s probably going to wear a little larger at 46 to crown but I’m good to about 48mm on a good design. Seiko sawtooth was 47mm plus crown at the 4. The thickness is 13.9mm.
