I thought of this while replying to a thread on Bremont (and thought of another idea for a topic to talk about): What brands (or models) do you greatly admire ... but for some reason, haven't picked up?

I have quite a few: Steinhart, Bremont, JLC (I had found a great deal on one but passed and I've been sorta kicking myself ever since), Grand Seiko, IWC.

Curious if anyone else feels the same way.

IWC, JLC, Rado, Tudor, Cyma, Movado, Bulova, Hamilton. To name a few. Perhaps also Breitling and Heuer/TAG Heuer. In case of Cyma, Movado and Bulova, I’m referring to the vintage stuff only, I’m
quite disinterested in their modern pieces.

On my current list to buy:
Sinn 903 blue
Sinn 105 black dial
Sinn 104 blue dial Arabic
Sinn U50

And maybe a Sinn 144 and one of their Frankfurt series dressier watches and probably a Sinn EZM3.

That’s a good start.

As far as brands to try that I haven’t already, would like to give IWC a go. Love the JLC Reverso but my wrists are too fat. And maybe give Bremont a try.

In my dreams, a VC and a Patek but that’s not ever going to happen.

On the cheap side I want this San Martin. It is 40mm and has the lugs I want. I don’t like that it is not a sandwich dial and have been looking for a sterile dial like this to fit it. This will be a project watch, if I can find a sterile sandwich dial to fit it. I’m not getting the watch until I find a dial, I don’t want it sitting around for years until the project comes together.


I’ve been looking for this Rado for a couple of years. This Montblanc, I should have got it a few years ago off Drop when I had the chance. Now I’m looking for one with a bracelet, in great condition at a price I’m comfortable with. This is the one that got away. Of course I’m still looking for a decent priced, with bracelet Omega Constellation 168.010 and 168.004. Both have the hidden crown. I’ve been looking for about 5 years. I seem to be a day late when I find one I like. I want the Invicta Royal Marine Super Compressor, I found one at a good price, but it was a little too franken Ed for me to want to pay the price then pay to have it put back to normal. I’ve been waiting for about 3 years for a good one to pop up. I’m waiting for the Circula super compressor to be available for sale and the TZ Caribbean to release so I can get them.
The Circula, I’m not sure which one I will get yet. Probably the silver or green since most vintage ones are black and I don’t want the same dial color for them. Crummy picture, but their website is weird and I couldn’t get a better shot. Eddies TZ Caribbean should go on sale the end of this month. From what I understand, it’s a super quick sale once he opens it up and I’m pretty slow. I at least want the yellow dial, maybe an orange.
I guess I’ve used my picture quota because it won’t let me post the Caribbean up. It’s on tz uk if anyone wants to see it.

Ah man, I read it wrong. I thought it was watches we don’t own on our list, I see brands now though. I have a Rado, if I didn’t I wouldn’t know the quality and want the one pictured so bad. I own an Omega, but the ones pictured are the Omega grail for me. I own an Invicta already (sadly), but this is a real Invicta from vintage years. I have a Circula, but really want a new super compressor made with old technology.

I guess the only legit ones I have listed are the TZ Caribbean and the Montblanc.

Probably tops would be a Zenith.

IWC, JLC would be great. I dream of buying a VC and Patek.
