New Bronze.....

Post by eddiea » Sat Feb 02, 2013 3:43 pm

As an early Valentines present, my Zenton Bronze arrive... I did the shopping , bargained the price , my beautiful wife paid for it (life is good)
Zenton produced very limited numbers of their LE models , only 20 examples were made of the B42 (Bronze/ 42mm) height is 15.5mm counting the slightly domed sapphire crystal, mine is a pre-loved , mint conditions sample (still with bits of the protected plastic wrapping on), I was able to located in California.
After the "Bronze Gate" fiasco hit the micros...Zenton ( based in Hong Kong ) decided to farm out their new cases with Ickler in Germany using AB5S (CuAl11Fe6Ni6) bronze, they also use top grade ETA 2824's in their models, the case back and signed screwdown crown, is done in titanium .

Water resistant is 500meters and lume is done in torchy C-3 SL

2 Rubber straps (Isofrane like) are supplied with the kit (very nice presentation box as well), each strap has a Zenton branded buckle, one in SS and the second in bronze.

Bronze is not for everyone but I do love the idea behind it , I considered the Anonimo Bronze, but the price, without anything special about the movement IMO, discouraged me , I also look at PAN that do offer a very nice Bronze package for an outrageously high price...and of course the micros offerings , finally leaning towards the Zenton as the best value, the watch comes with 10 years warranty and free service every two years ( both transferable and already transferred in my name)

Very comfortable, well balanced, feels solid...is a well put together watch, oozing quality, I'm impressed.
