Mort's First Chr. Ward...

Post by Mortuus Fakeuus » Sat Jun 15, 2013 9:51 pm

A new arrival at Rancho de los Muertos...my first Christopher Ward, dubbed the Malvern.  Some photos follow:

Excellent look and feel on the wrist...

An incredible silver sunray dial...

Beautifully executed exhibition caseback, framing the Sellita SW200-1 movement (and also revealing Mort's failure to remove the blue tape from the clasp)...

A look at the beautiful case, dial and mesh bracelet from a different perspective...

Holds its own when compared to a few of my favorite vintage watches...

Review to follow...many thanks for looking. :face:

I have a question for you Mort. When you screw down the crown can you still feel it winding, or does pushing the crown in to screw it down disengage the winding mechanism like most watches?

When I push the crown in and begin to wind, the movement disengages and the crown rolls almost without resistance until the crown is fully locked down.  Hope this helps...!
