Omega TC2 Time Computer Vintage digital Led Watch

Post by kahuna74 » Sat Jul 19, 2014 8:41 am

This is my first purchase in a year. Here is some information on this watch and a couple of pictures.
vintage Omega {Time Computer } digital led watch in 14K goldfill also known as the TC2

This vintage Digital watch is in perfect working condition showing time, seconds with the right pusher, and month/date and AM/PM dot with the left pusher.

This watch is in excellent condition, the crystal does have a few edge nicks and some scratches but the logo is clear, the setting magnet is located in the clasp and it does work.

The watch comes with a sasm27 module looks and works like the original Omega module as its made from the original parts only the logic chip is new meaning many years of worry free time keeping, the display is bright and all dots leds are perfect, this watch has its original band and clasp this is a great watch to wear everyday.

Once it gets to me I will post some wrist shots. I am looking at a second watch, vintage Chronograph. We will see if it works out and I will post some pict's of that one too.

Thanks AJC. I love that DeVille of yours. If I remember right, you put some money and time into restoring that one. Yeah I always wanted one of these back when I was in my teens. never had the funds. On a cheap Timex LED. Lasted less than a year. These are right up there with the Pulsars, same movements in both. There were TC2 and TC3, and also a TC1 I believe.

Forgive my ignorance - what is a "setting magnet" and how does it work?

The setting magnet actually adjust the time airframer. When the watch is on time mode you move the magnet over the back of the watch, minutes or hours plus or minus and it adjust the time accordingly. Kind of strange I guess, yet cool. If you look at the last picture of the back of the watch, you can see where the magnet is used to make the adjustment.

Huh, well ain't that something? Is it easy to set the time, or do you find yourself "overshooting" the desired numeral often?

I have not had any problems with the adjustment. Only have done it once, but you can get it right to the second, so I have to say it seems easy.
