Inbound: Seiko Kinetic 'Streamliner' - Silver/Tan

Hey, all!

I try -- for the most part -- to avoid writing about watches that are "in the mail," or cases wherein the "electronic data" has been "received," but the package has not quite made it to the post office "just yet." In such cases, according to a certain, uh, member of "another watch forum," it's not yours yet, so you've no business showing off pix of that watch-you-don't-own-'til-it-gets-there. PERIOD. END OF STORY. Jeebus wept. And, would you believe that this same fellow sometimes goes as far as writing "Congratulations on a watch you haven't even gotten yet" when commenting about the thread...don't 'ya jus' love that? Anyhow, I'll just keep this whole write-up over here at Watchforums so that good - ah say - good old boy (pronounced as "boweh") don't see it and get awl upset and go off his fee - ah say - feed...oh, wow, we had summer t-storms all day over here, and now it's gotten all foggy outside...hmmm. ;)

(And then the next crisis here involves getting the "germ-filled box out of the house" and away from "our vulnerable family" before we contract e-bowluh, or some such malady...but that's a story for BoxGeeks.com, or whatever. )

But I digress. Very badly. UGH. Sorry, fellows...I din't mean'tuh do that, honest!

Anyhow, I just this evening won a long-seeming five-day -- or was it nine days? No matter -- auction with the following watch as the grand (and only) prize:

Pretty damned kewl, eh? 8)

Whuh? Oh...okay, here's a couple more pitchers:

And a bitchin' close up...!

Doesn't get much better'n that, eh, mates...?

No, really? But that's all I got!!

Aw, hayell...

What do I do now?

All right, all right! How 'bout this?

And, for you members of the never-satisfied-with-nuthin' crowd, here's a closer-up pic:

Now that's what I'm taw'kin 'bout! WOOF! 8)

It should arrive not later than Wednesday or so, at which time I'll provide some (hopefully) better pictures and, a couple weeks or so later, a write-up with even more owesum-as-an-opossum pitchers. In the meantime, thanks for putting up with my weird sense of Sunday night humor... ... have a great week, gentlemen!

PS - Thanks for lettin' me pick on you a bit, Jeff. :face:

I disagree. That watch is mine when I dole out the coin!

Never have been one for anything but roundish watch cases with a rare digital watch exception.

That being said, congrats on this "not yet your watch" win! Look forward to the pics and review!

That's the best looking one of the bunch Mort. The dial design is really working for me. It looks like the second hand doubles as a power reserve indicator.

Sweet all around. It's a shame it's not your's.

First of all, thanks to the gentlemen (Airframerin thi & Svaglic) who gave me their sage advice (see below) when the third of three watches in this subset became available.

I took their advice, and I'm very glad I did; I got all three. Oh, and the blue-dialed version showed up today! The other two are en route, though they're probably going to show up Monday, or perhaps even as late as Tuesday. Heck, I've waited three years for these, what's a few more days?

Many thanks for reading through this rather disjointed thread...I'll do my best not to make any more.

If you can afford it ( and you can) and you like the series then get it. Why not? If you change your mind later, you can always do a trade. I'd rather have buyers remorse than remorse for not buying it.
It's easier to fool people than to convince them that they have been fooled.
