Vintage Omega Constellation

I spent a few days in the hospital last week, mostly serving as a pincushion/guinea pig. Mrs. Mort was far more concerned than she really needed to be, though I -- along with my team of quacks -- tried my best to reassure her that I was okay. At any rate, when I returned home on Sunday morning, this was waiting for me on my desk:

One of the things I love about collecting vintage watches is what I like to call their "silent histories," the combination of patination, well-placed micro-scratches and areas of wear in the case material. Have a look at the iconic observatory logo on the back of this "Connie's" case:

I am absolutely loathe to make the lovely and gracious Morticia worry, but jeezum-cardboard, if doing so results in something like this, what, exactly, am I supposed to do?

Well, that's my story, and I'm stickin' to it... Thanks for dropping by.

Two big thumbs up!

One for the watch and one for the wife!
