The original problem was a broken (or, in some cases, bent) winding stem that prevented you from being able to wind the watch and forced you to rely on the automatic function to both wind and build up your power reserve. In the case of this watch, both the stem and an attachment piece had to be replaced, which took only a few minutes to fix. The 'long pole in the tent' was the parts, which took the better part of four weeks to arrive from the good folks at the Invicter Partz Bin (Hyuck!)...now there's a shock, eh? ;)
