A well known Japanese retailer says this watch from the Presage Cocktail Time selection is known as Manhattan. Who am I to argue? Look at the color of this dial.


And the the brown dial goes so well with the rose gold case, rose gold markers and hands, and brown alligator embossed leather strap.






Not bad from the back either. A nicely finished 23-jewel 4R35 movement.




With a diameter of 40.5 mm and a thickness of 11.8 mm it sits nicely on the wrist.

What do I know about any of it? Not much but I certainly would not mind having 3 or 4 Manhattans whilst discussing the attributes of these fine Seiko watches. Looks great.

Thanks. One reviewer says that the sun burst pattern is pressed into the metal dial blank and the color comes from 7 layers of lacquer. . I believe there very well could be 7 layers of lacquer because the dial is perfectly smooth.

Man that is a nice looking watch. Seiko did that one right.

Seiko makes some very nice automatic watches but mostly Grand Seiko or for Japan only. It's nice they are releasing a few to the U.S. market.
