Omega Railmaster Homage

Post by JAS1125 » Tue Apr 09, 2019 6:52 pm

Yup, another one.

Since I'll never get the Omega this is the next best thing for me.

41 mm case 20 mm bracelet with butterfly clasp which I detest but I was able to get a decent fit. Sapphire crystal, solid end links with no play in them.
If you compare the current batch of homage watches to older ones like the Alpha it's almost night and day

Denim blue dial and all in all not bad for under a hundred smackers.

Have been eyeballing their AT homage. The Sea-Gull homage in red I have is phenomenal. Wondering about this at 41mm.

Gotta admit, that really has the Railmaster flavor. At first glance, I thought it was one.

Cripes, this type of thing makes me start to research. ;)

You got that right. There's one of those YouTube talking heads with a "show" called "Just One More Watch" that I actually like, tho most YouTubers need a swift kick in the trousers. This guy Jody, most times, reviews these Chinese watches that are pretty much homages, but honest to goodness, they look pretty good. It's fun to look under the rug and find some inexpensive watches that aren't blatant insults to watch buyers, like Invicta crud has been for the last 11 years. I'd rather sport a well-meaning Chinese homage from an unknown brand that's decently made than a sold-with-lies-and-phony-MSRPs 55mm monstrosity that turns in to a base metal turd after three weeks.
