Incoming

Post by svaglic » Sun May 26, 2019 9:02 am

I have been looking for one of these for a while. The last one that came up in Dec was at a good price, but the dial was hinky so I let it go.
This seller wanted a ridiculous high price, so I made a ridiculous low offer, I ended up getting it for less than half of his price. Probably a little high still, but he said it was serviced and if I wasn’t happy I could return it.

A 42mm Revue, lugless and my first Revue.

The guy said it was free second day shipping. Here is where the cluster F began.
I bought it on the 24th around noon.
He sent me a tracking number immediately.
He dropped it off on the 25th though.
He dropped it off after last pick up.
Soooo, it is sitting until a Tuesday pick up.
FedEx says to expect it on the 29th.

I don’t care that I have to wait, it’s a little irritating when it was talked up that I would have it quick though, but not a deal breaker. This guy spent good money for two day shipping and it has turned into five day shipping.

So, I wait. At least I got something I have been wanting and can mark it off my list.

Nice one. Hopefully you'll be happy when it arrives very soon. Patience, I once had two day shipping turn in to 9 day shipping due to multiple fubars and a holiday.

Kinda dig the watch, but not as much as your tenacity. Can't wait to see it.

It was a signature only package and I wasn’t there yesterday to get it. I was out today too, but my brother was over to sign for it. Cool, I thought it was going to have to be sent back, I can’t stand FedEx, the nearest facility to me is about an hour away so I wasn’t going to pick it up. Anyway, it worked out for me, I have it and I bought two pairs of shoes today. I have about as many shoes as watches.
I’ll get on putting my shopping spree away and change the leather strap out to a bracelet and show off some pictures later. It’s cool, I like it.

My first Revue, 42mm lugless isn’t bad at all on my 6 3/4” wrist

I’m pleased, there is some hazing on the crystal (or dust underneath it).
It’s blue, a Revue, a lugless and vintage...whats not to like?

Ya done GREAT. I wouldn't change a thing about it.
