Accutron Courchevel
I bought this watch a few years ago, then sold or traded it off back when I was deep in watchgeek koolaid bigger is better coma. I'm sure everyone has a watch they have let go and regretted. I have waited for another to come available at a good price, especially since I'm paying for it twice.
I found one from JAS1125 (John) at BDWF. A big shout out to bigsurfed for hooking me up with him as I was not yet a member at that forum. John was gracious enough to complete the transaction off his forum.
I have a soft spot for Accutron's. Maybe I just like the name and the tuning fork symbol. It may be the build quality for the price. If budget permitted, I would probably have an entire box full of them. Charleston is a black hole for higher end AD's, but we do have a Reed's Jewelers that carries Accutrons. That allows me to lay hands on the newer models.
This Courchevel model is one of my favorites of the old models. No longer in production. I love light blue dials, and although it has fashion brand mother of pearl, the pearl is limited and coordinates nicely with the dial layout. The bracelet is silky, with brushed/polished links. The 40mm case and 11.5mm height means it melts onto the wrist. Runs on an ETA 251 chrono. Crystal is sapphire.
The watch has been one of my go 2s over the past year. The only hiccup was a loose friction pin, which I was able to fix myself. Thanks for looking.
