New Orient for under $100

Just kidding. That was a cheap freebie when I ordered my previous Orient.

This is the new Orient ER2700CW, or Symphony as they named it. Ordered at discountwatchstore.com. Placed a bid at $99.00. They accepted. Three days later on my wrist.

A few details:
42mm case diameter w/o crown
11.5mm case thickness
22mm standard lug width
Orient 48743 cal. movement w/date
Textured off-white dial
Exhibition case back
Polished case, crown, hands, and hour indices.
Cheap Orient bracelet resembling a 5 link bracelet w/ dual deployment clasp

I was very pleased when I received the watch and got to examine it closer. The dial is textured with a vertical pattern in the inner circle and concentric circular pattern starting at the tips of the hour indices markers. The Orient logo is placed at the 12 o'clock position. The date window is at the 3 o'clock position. The date wheel is hard to visualize as it is metalic with black numerals for the dates. The hands, hour indices, and arabic numerals are highly polished with no lume. Seeing how Orient's lume generally leaves a lot to be desired, I am not in the least upset at having no lume.

The case is highly polished, including the crown. The bracelet is the typical Orient fold over link bracelet. It resembles a 5 link styling with polished 2nd and 4th "links." A dual deployment clasp secures the bracelet. I am looking to replace this bracelet with a leather one. It has an exhibition case back. The case back allows for the watch to sit up off the wrist some. The feel of the watch is very comfortable.

Overall, I feel like I got a good bit of watch for under a hundred bucks. Thanks for checking it out.

I'm on the fence here. I've never owned an orient and i can get this ionic plated symphony for $103. I have a 22mm light brown strap that would look great on it. Should i jump?

Agreed. I was considering the one similar to mine with the black dial and IP before getting the white. Only reason I chose white was that I have no white dials in my box at this time.

And, yeah you should jump. I look at this way, I have pissed away $100 before on some really dumb crap.
