Back from repairs
I got this off eBay, it was a little trashed. I took a chance.
I made a friend on another forum who is a watch repair guy. So, I sent him this and a few others. He was a miracle worker. It runs like a champ now. I love this Vulcain. A Longines I won at a watchlords auction years ago. 18k gold. I had it worked on by a local guy, but it was still finicky. This guy got it shaped up and running great. A local guy worked on this and it was never decent. A hand kept falling off and the dial kept rotating. Come to find out, it is missing a spacer inside. I may have to have my other buddy on that forum make me one, he is great at machining stuff. I’ll look for a donor watch on eBay or a part, but I don’t think I’ll be successful. It is up and running and looking good. The dial never rotated until the local guy worked on it, so I’m ordering if he lost the spacer ring. I’ve been spending time and money getting caught up on services. As I send more in and get them back, I’ll post them.
I found a good reliable repair guy and am grateful to him.
