Mido Baroncelli Power Reserve

Post by DBCooper » Thu Apr 05, 2012 2:08 pm

I have had one of these on the back burner since I first saw Northwestguy's at WL's. I felt like the right deal finally came along so I jumped on it. I'm sure most of you are familiar with these and to be quite honest I don't really feel qualified to offer up a REAL review to you guys so I will just post some pics with the particulars.

42mm case. This is a little larger than my last 4 which were all 40mm. I can see quite a difference in 2mm. This is probably about as big as I will go for awhile.

It is 50mm water resistant, has a sapphire front with AR treatment. The dial looks mat finished to me with a textured power reserve subdial. The beveled hands and hour markers are a nice touch.

It has an ETA 2897 movement (11½’’’, Ø25.60 mm, Höhe: 4.85 mm, 21 jewels, 28.800 beats/hour) with INCABLOC-/NIVACOURBE-shock protection, NIVAROX II spring, fine finishing (<--information stolen from WUS). 42 hour power reserve. I have read from watchtime.com database that the exhibition back is a mineral crystal.

Signed crown, dual deployant clasp and leather strap (crocodile grain).

I am happy with this one and will be putting it on a bracelet soon. I always enjoy getting ripped for my choice in bracelets :albino:
