Thanks to our buddy Foghorn I had seen this one before and I liked the way it looked. When AJC posted the CW secret sale thread I couldn't pass it up. Have only had it a couple of days so as usual I'm just going to post pictures and some of the particulars.
The packaging this watch comes in goes way beyond what a watch in this price point deserves. Very nice packaging with a CW cleaning cloth included.
The case is 38mm in diameter with a height of about 11mm. The lug width is 18mm. It is water resistant to 5 ATM.
Very simple black galvanic dial with 3 hands and a date window @ 3 o'clock. I believe galvanic refers to the dial being electroplated (galvanized) with some type of metal. What metal was used to plate this black dial, I can't say. AR sapphire crystal.
Mine came with an ETA 2824-2. I was expecting an SW200 so this was a pleasant surprise. The initial accuracy check was +11 secs over 24 hours. There is an exhibition case back to view the movement.
The rotor doesn't have the jewel count on it like most of my other watches. I suspect this is because CW is using both ETA and Sellita movements on this model.
Has a screw down crown. The crown, clasp and strap are all signed. The clasp is dual deployant. Mine came with a gator grain leather strap that will be changed out of course. Strap or bracelet?
Took a couple of wrist shots with the OEM strap. The size is fine by me. Looks good on the wrist but I think this will be my limit on the small side. Thanks for looking.
