Yeah, your GPS watch is probably pretty nice. But how careful do you have to be with it? Better yet, how many times have you had to replace it? A lot of GPS watches on the market are pretty fragile, despite claims of ruggedness. Well, the Suunto Ambit is here to change the game.

Advanced training tracking meets a rugged, outdoor-ready package that wouldn’t feel out of place in the military. Touted for its mechanical durability, reliable measurements, and water resistance, there’s not a whole lot that the Ambit can’t withstand.

Some of the functions of the watch include a fully featured GPS, 3-D compass, and pace/speed GPS, heart rate monitoring. Visit Suunto for more information and to pick one up today for $500.

Hmmm...if it really IS as rugged as suggested above, I suppose it's worth the $500 pricetag. But if you're not a hiker or die-hard 'gadgeteer,' it's a pretty steep price. Oh, I almost forgot: does it tell time...?
