Orient Dignitary

Post by mrneddles » Fri Feb 22, 2013 9:38 am

From Orient's FB:

The Dignitary is a square-cased watch that is fully stainless steel. From a side view of the case, the upper is brushed while the rest is polished stainless steel. The dial features a white sunburst dial that works well in natural light. The bar indexes are a bit elevated which provides an essential gleam. The hands are a rich blue, comparable to the ones found on the popular FD0F “Vintage” model. The combination of all these features make for a visually elegant and sophisticated dial that makes the watch seem worth more than it actually costs. In addition to the date window found at the six o’clock, the Dignitary also features a day dial and a 24 hour dial. Though this may separate the watch from being a classic-styled piece,it is certainly modern and still dressy.

The case measures approximately 30mm x 32.5mm without the crown and is about 12.1mm thick. The lug width is 24mm,and the stainless steel bracelet is the same that was featured on the new Subaru BRZ model. The bracelet is very solid. Priced at $325 MSRP,you can get it today for around $228 by using ‘valentines30’ at check out. You’ll also get a free lady’s watch of your choosing, free UPS ground shipping and a free gift package! Not bad considering the price of the watch is a steal already for an in-house automatic watch!

Orient has some classy stuff for sure. The best part is you don't have to lay out a lot of coin to get said watch. This one is very sharp looking!

I own three and all of them run better than must of my other watches. I have a Ti Beast that seems to stay spot on. The one I bought from Dave about a year ago, its like a jump hour, also runs really well. As for the mako, other than the Bezel being tight also no real issues. Great Brand IMO.

I agree with you guys. A straight forward approach to watches. Orient is consistent and predictable. You know what you getting. I am a beginning watch collector, and my first autos were Orients. Appreciate the company and what they do.
