That is indeed a beauty, AndrewAnthony...I have to wonder if it's ever going to be offered beyond the tidy little islands of Japan and Singapore, though. And, let's see; the label features a price of ¥38,000 JPY, which is right about $349.00 USD. Affordable? Yes, I suppose so. But, for the same money, I could pick up a gently used Hammy Intra Matic (or is it Inter Matic?) auto... Of course, we, as collectors, always make mental comparisons like that, so they don't mean a whole lot. In the end, such statements are, I believe, the horological equivalent of mental masturbation in Comp Lit 101 during one's frosh year at the olde alma mater.

So, are there any among us who would make that $349 investment...? For once, even my virtual big mouth is silenced... :face:

$350? It probably won't sell for that much, but I think it's fair.

If you look at the other Seiko JDM auto's featuring this movement or the 6R movements, $350 is pretty cheap.

Alpinist
Sumo
Spirit
SARB/SARX/SARZ
Shogun

Pretty much the same movement, all more expensive. Granted, there's more to a watch than the movement, but I think these compare pretty well to the rest of the SARBS.

My biggest negative about this one is that the freakin hands are too damn short.

Like it but it's just not a standout to me.

The minute hand should reach the minute track and the hour hand should reach the hour markers.

A little wiggle room is ok, but when they're really short it makes the watch look a little cheap IMO.
