It's odd since this is a render and the bezel off a tick as well. I can't imagine a graphic designer being OK with that...

On YouTube there are several tutorials on how to photograph watches for catalogs. Usually, they would take several shots using different settings and layer the best images in Photoshop. This really looks like a sloppy composite.
