Junghans Max Bill Automatic 027/3501
The packaging.
The case diameter is 38mm w/o the crown. Case height is 10-11mm with a lug width of 20mm. I have seen some sites that say it is 30M water resistant. The official Junghans site only says waterproof.
I love the dial on this thing. Simple white 3 hand dial with long stick hour markers. Glad I decided on this no date version.
The crystal is convex plexiglass with SICRALAN MRL UV coating. Another domed plexiglass crystal I will have to be careful with.
The movement is a Junghans calibre J800.1 (base ETA 2824 I believe). I'm not sure what modifications they made to it, if any at all. It ran +11 seconds after running for 40 hours. The solid case back has the Max Bill signature.
The push/pull crown is unsigned, as is the tang buckle. Came on a black calfskin leather strap that is stamped Junghans.
Luminous dots at the quarter-hour and on the hour and minute hands. A nice touch.
This thing is really light on the wrist. As you can see on the 2nd wrist shot it looks pretty good for a girly 38mm watch on a 7.25" to 7.5" wrist.
Really liking this one. Still a little unsure about these domed plexiglass crystals. Other than that, I haven't found anything to complain about. I'm going to try a thin dark brown strap with no stitching on it. Should be here in a few days.
