Junkers Bauhaus 6060-2
I usually don't have much to say on the packaging because I don't really care much about it. However this packaging is so lame I am going to mention it. It is lame! Basically a holiday candy tin with Junkers printed on the top of it. And I still haven't figured out what the deal is with Watchmann shipping it with a Tootsie Pop. A subliminal message that I'm a sucker?
The case diameter is 40mm with a 20mm lug width. Perfect size!
I like the dial layout. 40hr power reserve at twelve, date at three and a 24hr subdial at six (no dual time).
This is my 1st non eta automatic watch. The movement is a Miyota 9100. The reviews I have read online about it seem positive. It ran approximately +6 seconds for the 1st 24 hours. Here are some specs from the Citizen website.
A closeup of the movement. It actually looks better than this picture shows.
The crystal is hesalite and it sticks out far past the bezel. I'm not feeling real good about this crystal. It actually has a soft feeling to it on the fingertips. Going to have to put away the magnifiers when handling this watch. A couple of WIS have told me not to worry about it. I understand these can be polished up to look new pretty easily. We shall see.
The crown is signed and the buckle isn't. The leather strap says Fatto a mano and seems decent enough.
Has a small amount of lume that isn't too bad. Surprised they put any lume at all on it.
Although the strap seemed ok I put this Hadley Roma oil tanned leather with a single deployant clasp on it. I like it.
A couple of final shots with the strap change. Thanks for looking.
