The Garbage Watch

Post by bbattle » Sat Oct 09, 2021 5:41 am

Vollebak makes indestructible clothing that will likely outlast you. They also strive to be earth-friendly by minimizing waste. The brand will build its first timepiece with the upcoming Garbage Watch that expresses its mindset quite literally. They’ve partnered with the Wallpaper* Re-Made project to create this colorful and complex timepiece that’s in the prototype stage right now while the materials are sourced. Parts range from computer motherboards and smartphone microprocessors to television wiring and recycled metal, and they’re re-purposed here for what could very well be horological art. While there’s no pricing available, you can sign up on the waiting list for the 2022 launch.

They are adherents of the "Truth in Advertising" philosophy. I won't be getting on their waiting list; not woke enough.

Cute but that electrical wire strap isn't going to soften up in our lifetime.

Certainly looks like garbage.
My manner of thinking, so you say, cannot be approved. Do you suppose I care? A poor fool indeed is he who adopts a manner of thinking for others!
