Android Stance Chronograph
Picked this one up on Android's last sweep through the Slop. At $99, I thought I would give it a try. I have always wanted to try a lume dial. It arrived and the mrs. really liked it, but I had some issues as described below. So I ditched the metal bracelet and put it on a Panatime two tone vintage strap with light green stitching. Let me know what you think. These are just some quick pics.
The good:
-Price (although somewhat negated by the strap mod purchase)
-Lume dial and bezel is pretty cool
-Lume Android "A" on the crown (not shown, but nice touch)
-wife likes it, says it a nice spring/summer watch
-Strap mod really settles it down as far as size and weight on the wrist
-The lume dial really lights up (I haven't taken a lume shot yet, but I'm sure there are plenty out there already)
-Screw down crown
The bad:
-Invictroid styling, definitely overwrought. Close to looking like an engine part on the wrist.
-Too heavy for me with the bracelet.
-Impossibly thick at 16mm. I think Wing does this to achieve the deep colosseum dial, but it really doesn't need all that thickness.
-Crown and stem feel flimsy and ready to break when unscrewed.
Overall I find it a modestly amusing watch. At $99 it really was worth a try. I will wear it through the hot season and see if it is still in my watch box come 2013.
Thanks for looking!
