Minuteman watches. Built in the United States of America by patriots for patriots!

Post by Thomas Carey » Wed Feb 27, 2013 6:57 pm

Hello folks! I see some familiar names here on the forum. =) Dave (mrneddles) was kind enough to invite us here. =)

We are just starting up. Our watches will be built in the USA. In Ohio to be exact by Lum-Tec. Our main goal is to raise funds to donate to charities that support veterans and their families. As well as provide work for our fellow Americans.

Here are some of our models.

You can found out a lot more about our brand on our fb page. Particularly if you look at our notes. I don't want to bore everyone by pasting a press release etc. =)

Maybe on the next production. If we can get them I would want to do a 9015 as I have personally had very good luck with them. I am not sure if it will fit our current case. So we might have to tool up for a new case for it. We went with quartz to keep the cost down and the headache as well. Fewer things to go wrong with a quality quartz. Personally I always wear a mech though. =)

I really like that first watch. You might want to post a link to where we could buy/order one.

When I hear "Minuteman" I cant help but think

Spent 4 years of my life working on them so the name really means something to me.

I have had a fair amount of people say this as well. =)

Right now we are doing this on the cheap to keep costs down. We want to be quite frugal on ads and the like to put the money in a quality product and for donations. For the 1st production, funds raised will go to.

This is the one effort that I am most impressed with that the Gary Sinise Foundation is a part of.

This is one of several reasons why. We selected the foundation as being the one which the donations from the sales of our 1st production Minuteman models will go to.

Indeed it is but some other brands also use the same time. So we are not the 1st to do so. =)
You don't suppose you might make one called the Corsair (WWII 'gull wing' fighter) & Corsair II (my old ride, the one in my avatar)? Had to ask... :face:

I would like to tell you a major reason why we created Minuteman. My father who is our CFO is a disabled Vietnam vet.

As such we are very respectful of those who serve. Especially those who have given so much. That its left a deep and lasting negative impact on their remaining lives.

We do realize that what we can contribute is but a drop in the bucket. But we do hope it can have a positive impact that is greater than the actual dollar amount donated.

We also very much hope. Our idea of creating a for profit to employ Americans, and help veterans. Will inspire others to follow suit, and that their efforts will be even more of a success. If your thinking of starting a brand. I urge you to consider a similar path to ours.

I hope not only people in America will follow in our steps. But that people in other countries will do the same for their fellow citizens who serve.
