I Want To Be Made Whole--Timecat Gets Hosed!!

Post by conjurer » Fri Apr 19, 2019 6:40 pm

As if we needed another example of how quickly TeeVee wartchs depreciate, here's one of the most heart-breakingly funny FS posts one is likely to see:

https://forums.watchuseek.com/f29/bulk- ... 28465.html

Wherein one Timecat, who is unlikely to ever split the atom, decides to see a whole bunch'a wartchs--the briefcase comes free!--at a remarkably elastic price. The one good one:

Orient M Force...date wheel is stripped, otherwise in great shape and keeps good time. Power Reserve works. No bracelet. Ships on Panatime canvas shown in photo.

And the other:

Spinnaker Sorrento in great shape but wood bezel has come apart at 6:00. Not loose on case but you can see the separation. Otherwise perfect.

He's listed this in the wrong place - buying watches "in bulk" is something Tee Vee watches buyers have been taught to do for the past 10 years. He's gotta list this at WIT - he'll have those bad boys sold in a matter of minutes. In fact, they'd probably in-fight to buy those Magicos and Haurexs.

Also - he says he cut the strap on the SL Legato an inch - but from the look of that, it's an integrated strap. Does that mean he trimmed the rubber band from the far end?!?

Bargains, I tell ya.
