My meaningless prediction: The whole operation goes dark by November.

You do have to wonder a bit if the 24/7 Invicta will come true.
With Lalo in this new role, how can they do any other shows featuring Seiko, Croton, Casio without him screaming conflict of interest?

Eyal wants the dolla. He sold his granny out to the Russians to make that dolla. He will do and say what ever it takes and if that doesn’t work he will open shopnbc up to the mob for money laundering.

Or something close to it. Yeah, that's the ticket - scarf up dollars from TV watch buyers selling defective crud, loophole your way to success, and then buy the beleaguered store that sells the crud. Sure seems like a worthy, reputable company to invest in, by golly. I guess you can report facts, uncover falsehoods, prove the constant ruse, yet some will still prefer to lay down with pigs.

I have a feeling that some WL DNA is leaking into this forum and I am not happy about it. Some people hate Invicta and others love Invicta and by Invicta I mean the product and the Company. I have owned over 70 Invictas and had only a major problem years ago with the Sellita SW500 movement when it first came out. I sent in the watch under warranty and got back one with a new movement which worked fine until I flipped it. I keep track of every watch I have bought and sold (432) and I can tell you that the resale percent with Invicta is weak compared to other brands. Off the top of my head have gotten back 70% back of what I paid for the 400 plus watches, but only around 50% on the Invictas. In addition to Invicta I had the pleasure of owning many fine brands, Rolex, Omega, Breitling, IWC, Seiko, etc. This is my main gripe with Invicta...poor resale. No doubt Invicta has had it's share of problems as the facts indicate. But, another fact is that Invicta has a large following and large sales. Being a private company, I have no idea of the percent of defects they have. The bottom line is that I am not about to go on an Invicta cruise or get a yellow tee shirt or state that Invicta is better than a Rolex, but I do watch Evine to see the Invicta, G-Shock, and Edox shows. I have also invested in EVLV and currently own 3 Grand Divers and a Pro Diver. I do not scuba dive, but I can tell you that I wouldn't go down 200 meters with a $90 watch not expect a problem...doesn't matter what it says on the watch. I hope no body takes this as a personal attack, on the other hand if somebody insults me because of my choice of watch or TV show they will hear about it.

The difference is you're an informed consumer George. Many who blindly follow Lalo are not.

And we do have dual members here from Lords, including myself. Open and frank discussion is a good thing on any forum

As a proud member of WatchLords, I don't care what shows you watch or what watches you wear. The fellas give me crap all the time about the YouTube channels I watch and frankly I don't give a fuck. If I want to watch Urban Gentry or that Scottish dude ramble on about watches, that's what I'm going to do. I don't get Evine TV or ShopNBC on this side of the world, but if it did I'd probably watch that crap too. So George, keep doing what you do. I suggest that you just might not want take things too personally when the guys beat down on your favorite things. They have the right to voice their opinions, which actually is part of the fun around here.

Truth be told, I still have about 15 of the Pro Diver variants....they serve their purpose well enough

Okay, Okay....I get it. At least I know somebody reads my posts and I'm not lost in the crowd. I like the new forum so I guess I'll have to put up with the crap that floats to the surface from time to time. I just won't take it personally.

Yeah...that's why I only have 4 Invictas at present.
But, we're talking about 13 years of collecting and flipping. I got back about $8,000 net or about 57%, so the actual cost was $6,000. It's the 57% that bothers me. The average for the 432 watches I flipped was 70%, so if you took out the invictas it would be a little more than 70%.
The 8 Breitlings that I owned and sold got back 77%. So yeah money wise I would have been better off with the Breitlings vs the Invictas.

Tim Peterman, CEO of Evine, said, “I look forward to working with Bob and his team during a collaborative transition. We have a great company today, and I believe we have a very bright future. As Bob knows, our vision for the company remains fundamentally unchanged; I look forward to working with the team and the Board on new growth strategies and expect to have further details on such strategies in the near term.”

I am looking forward to the new growth strategies. They have until July 15 to get back to $1 to be in compliance with NASDAQ Listing.

We'll see what happens. Although EVLV is only 1% of my total portfolio I will be watching it closely.

1% of your entire portfolio is with that shopping network??? Really?
I suppose it would make sense trying to keep that place afloat.

Staying on topic; do people really purchase wristwatches (from wherever) and monitor their return on investments?
That is a new one on me and I shutter to know how my watch "investments" purchases equate to a profit and losses over the many years.

I’ve never sold a watch, I usually trade them, gift them to someone or give them to Conj for the benefit auctions. I guess my return is zilch.
After I die I have no doubt my family will sell everything, but I won’t know what they brought.
It's easier to fool people than to convince them that they have been fooled.
