Just got a bottle of Glenmorangie Tale of Cake in today from Caskers as it sure as hell isn't available locally.

Anxious to give it a taste tomorrow evening.

A proper review here:

I remember a guy from the office at one Xmas party was a malt aficionado, he went all round Scottish distilleries getting a bottle at each. He brought some little bottles of samples with the names written on them and plonked them on the booze table. Everyone was drinking beer, so I pocketed the lot. There were around a dozen, but I rember liking the one called 'Laprohaig' best, and further 'testing' in bars hasn't changed my mind since.
What amazed me was the difference in colours, from almost clear to a dark brown.

Scotch is an acquired taste but once it gets on you, other whiskeys are less satisfying.

Agree...it actually took me about a year to develop the taste.
How was the Glenmorangie?

Was so tired last night that I didn't even give it a go. Tonight!
