Finally broke down for a monitor in my home office, instead of the laptop and thought this might be handy.

Forgot to mention that I'm looking for something on the "inexpensive" side :D

Thanks!

I have an older model Gigabit Brix 4770R for streaming media via Kodi. Powerful little bastard but the fan can be quite loud. There are newer models available. Not sure if they're quieter.

@JAS1125: Your second link is tempting an upgrade.

Kodi still works?? None of my links work anymore. Was there an update or is it time to buy another box?

Yes and yes they're on v18.1 (Leia) now (but I'm still running v17.6)
Android box didn't do well but the Brix is stellar.
Couldn't live without it.

Is Kodi easy to load into a PC? I've only done it on an Android box.

No, Kodi is a multi-platform app, Mac, Windows, Linux, etc.
Piece-O-Cake on Windows, and I prefer it there.

Kodi is a software app plus add-ons (search providers), that allows you to search the world to access movies and tv shows for free.
It can be installed on various forms of hardware (platforms), Windows, Mac, Xbox, FireStick, Android (not just for phones), etc.
It's a finicky science project that can pay for itself rather quickly but only if you're somewhat computer savvy.
You can also be sued, fined, or blocked from your internet provider for content theft.
So they tell me.

Well, got the mini PC up and running fast, along with a wireless keyboard that is small.

Inserted the SD card....except what I thought was the slot for it, wasn't so now I gave a 32gb card rattling around on the interior

Other than that, seems to work well.
