Counterfeiting goods is OK according to EU and British exper
This very morning I spilled my cup of tea when I read through an article published by the British quality daily Telegraph.
The comments by Professor David Wall, one of the authors of the EU funded study, are simply and plainly dangerous. Our societies are based upon the guarantee of property and its ownership by the forces of the state. That is pretty much the first of the fundamentals of our culture. Whether this property is intellectual or physical does not make any difference whatsoever.
Today, it is actively encouraging the counterfeiting of goods; tomorrow it is actual confiscation of the fruits of human endeavours by the chosen few like Mr. Wall.
I will never, ever consent counterfeiting any item and I do not stand corrected on that one!
I can only urge companies braving the challenges of counterfeited goods not to pay any VAT or other taxes anymore. It is simply not in their interest to finance any state acting in the way Mr. Wall recommends it should be acting. They better had invest in a private army instead.
