What the fuck was I thinking????

From way early in my ShopNBC days. The Triangle Lupah...
Pretty sure I must have been hammered.

Found it today and put a fresh battery in.

Hey, I think the strap looks really good, seriously. Fun stuff.

I won this watch in a contest on another watch blog for answering a trivia question, as I recall. The watch doesn't even have a serial or series number on it. I think it actually has a Miyota movement in it (it looks like one for sure). But...

The Dragon Lupah- advertised as Swiss Made, genuine alligator strap- $109.95--- from my early shop and WG days.

Marked Swiss with Chinese movement inside- fake alligator- embossed leather strap. Kept for evidence.

EDIT: The price was $199.95

^^^ Wow - that's the entire Invicta story all wrapped up in one watch. Seriously, that's a miracle.

Initially, I did save it as evidence of Invicta's cheesiness. I've kept it as evidence of my gullibility. I had family in the business for crying out loud, and at least initially, fell for the whole slop / WG schtick hook, line, and sinker. I only wish that was the only one I had purchased, not to mention a couple'a Renattoes.'

Live and learn, indeed.

A Nautica, a Ross purchase. It has the top watch that pivots over and there is another watch under it. It was so thick and big, I never wore it, it went in a donation bin. I got it around 2011 or 2012 if memory serves me correctly. I have no idea or any excuse as to why I bought it, I think it was around $50.00. $50.00 wasted.

Go look at my intro at WL, it was after my home was burglarized and I thought I got screwed but with everything I had learned it was the best thing that had happened. Insurance covered most of my losses. I have one left and and it will be in my collection for ever.

My wife loves the smaller Renato models and has three of them; she still wears them all the time. At least they run/ran. She just liked the styling, which is her main watch thing - she has an Omega Constellation, but it's a quartz, as are all of her watches except one. She could care less if a strep virus on a tiny hamster wheel is the movement; watches are jewelry to her, and that's fine. I like her taste otherwise: Hamiltons, Omega, not junky stuff, so that's half the battle.

From way back. This was Reactor's first production watch, designed by it's founder. The wings are to "keep the caseback up off the wrist, allowing saltwater and perspiration to evaporate, and preventing sand and other debris from getting trapped under the watch." Hmm...
