hked vintage diver project $350.00

Ed is putting out a nice looking vintage dive watch. Here is a link with the specs.

It's 40mm, NH35 movement, 660 feet, domed crystal, custom bor bracelet, a lumed 120 click bezel with full markings (except the blue, it will not have full lume). The blue is also the only one with a date.
It's tasteful, choices are a nice blue, a cool brown and standard black dials.
He said it is being made all from scratch with no off the shelf parts for the watch case, dial, indices, bezel and bracelet.
If you have seen Eds previous projects (the 63 and the Bundeswehr) then you know his work is very good and quality is super.
You can expect your watch in Aug or Sep. I know you guys don't like to pay and wait, but Ed is legit and has a good reputation.

$175.00 deposit and $175.00 before delivery. Not a bad price at all. Oh, plus shipping.

I do not work for Ed and am not a schill. I just think it looks better than a lot of other watches and it's cheaper and a good size.

Yeah Mort, I like the brown too.

Here's some watch projects I bought from hked.

I think his homage watches are tops, he always seems to nail it. They seem to hold value too, I'm not saying I could get what I paid or make money on a resale, but I won't take a bath if I sell them.

He said the quality of this new dive watch will be one of the best he's put out.

Well, I said I wasn't getting this, but I put a deposit down for the brown. I thought about how I hate being on vacation and having to switch from a vintage to a big hunk diver all the time, so this diver is small and looks vintage....the best of both worlds.

Well, HELL, Svagy, that means I may have to as well, though I definitely don't want to take away your joy at being the ONLY one to get this pup, if that's your druthers...still...that BROWN rocks the house!!! I just wish he would use a Miyota 8N24 auto movement instead of the "TMI" (AKA Seiko) series... :| I guess I'm a Miyota-holic!

I won't be the only one getting one. Koi and Love are getting the blue.

I like that it is a small size diver with vintage looks and style, I won't have to wear a lunk of a watch in case I want to swim while I'm out and about. I have no doubts this watch will be nice. Ed said the quality will rival his 63, so I know it's going to be great.

Better hurry, he said once pre order closes there will be no more made and it is a great tribute to the Technos dive watch.

Ed got the proto’s in and asked me to post them here.

I think they turned out nice. Of course I folded and went in for the brown.

Prototype next to the vintage inspiration for it.

40mm looks huge next to the 36mm vintage.

Here is the link if you want to see the video and the new pictures of the black, blue and brown dials.
Mostly on the last five or six pages of the thread are prototype shots.

It takes me a while to post pictures off my iPad. I have to download the pictures one by one then upload them to flickr then copy the code then go to webtoolsrack to paste the code and have it converted to a useable code I can post here.

Sorry I am a little hectic this morning to do all that, but here is a link to WUS to see some awesome shots of one of the proto’s. I mean, some really awesome shots by a photographer with skills.

I’m excited about it. A vintage look with a 40mm case and can really be used in the water. He sent some out to be reviewed, Alain is going to get one of the proto’s for review. I’m looking forward to his impressions good or bad.

If you guys want one of these watches, now would be the time to jump in. Delivery is around Christmas time, so there is a bit of a wait, but we’ll worth it. Love is in for the blue, Alain, me and nimble boy are in for the brown. What are you in for?
Morts hard to figure.... he likes vintage, so he may not be in for this homage, but I can’t guage if he’d be in for the brown because of the aged look, black because of a nice crisp look or the blue because it just looks hot.
It’s a 40mm dive watch with an actual dive bezel and built with today’s standards. Decent price, once it goes to production there will be no chance except for used. Oh, no tacky forum name on the dial.
