Just a quick heads-up. In the next few days, the forum will be upgraded to a newer phpBB version. This upgrade should improve stability and provide a better experience on tablets and smartphones.

just ran a test migration and everything looks fine, so the real migration will happen tonight. The board will be disabled for up to 15 minutes, but it should be less than 5 minutes. Everyone will be logged off the board after the migration is complete.

In the navbar of the new board, roughly at the location of the current Chatbox link, there will be a Notifications link. Please make sure to let users know to click that link when they log in, and then click the Settings link at the top right of the dropdown box. That will take people to the URL I posted above, and users can set notifications as they see fit.

All email notifications are disabled by default. It is important that users must "opt in" to email notifications in order to minimize emails being delivered to spam folders.

The upgrade is complete. Please post a message in this topic if you have any questions or problems.
