Parnis "Marina Militare" for to-day.

Can't post pictures due to no camera, but can tell you I have a legal clone of a Panerai Marina Militare made by Parnis. Stainless case, black dial and aftermarket black leather band, looks very noir. Exhibition case back, too. Got it for USD$80.00 on eBay. Had to replace the original band, though - that plastic crap was totally unworthy. Cost for the watch plus replacement band was USD$150.00 altogether. The watch's movement is a Tianjin ST36 6497 17 jewel mechanical hand-winding movement.

As you probably are aware, most forums forbid Marina Militare and other replica brands to be posted or discussed openly. As this forum is still an infant and no Terms of Service have been developed per se, I will allow it for now. However, as things progress that may change. Just a heads up.

The only reason why such legal reps are banned from discussion there is the fact that their existence causes people to question why a high-end watch deserves a price tag in the thousands of dollars - why pay thousands for a Rolex when the look / feel / quality of a Rolex can be duplicated by the Chinese for much less? Granted, they can't really do dive watches yet - but they are rapidly getting there. If all Rolex / Panerai / whoever can come up with is 'in-house movement' or whatever, then...
