7.9.2012 Watch Brand of the Day: Tommy Bahama
Certainly a fashion brand, but one of the better in my opinion. All are supposedly "Swiss Made" by the Geneva Watch Group (a subsidiary of the Binda Group, which appears to also involve several Italian fashion brands.)
Tommy Bahama watches are generally very pleasant on the eyes, come in price range of $200-$400, and are well put together. I had a "Silver Palm" model that used sterling silver in the case, and it was a sharp, relaxed little watch. When I sold it, discovered there is a collector's market out there for TB watches, especially the sterling cased models. As a strap monger, I have always appreciated the basket weave straps that many models come on.
