WBOTD 9.3.12: Bozeman Watch Company

Post by mrneddles » Mon Sep 03, 2012 9:21 am

We are an original watch manufacturer based in Bozeman, Montana USA.  As an American Watch Manufacturer, our Bozeman Watch Company original timepieces are sold exclusively through our company showrooms in Bozeman Montana, Whitefish Montana, with plans for an additional showroom  in Jackson Hole Wyoming in the near future.  The Bozeman retail store and Whitefish retail store location showcase all mechanical watch models and information on our upcoming Montana watch collection.   These hand made watches are as rugged and refined as they are rare. Each piece begins as a pencil illustration; as the concept advances, engineering of the parts and watch data further the development process and refine the concept. Next come the final 3-dimensional product images, preparing us for prototyping and tooling.  Upon acceptance of the completed prototype, manufacturing and assembly commence.  The exquisite mechanical movements in each model are built to specification during the design process and are made and assembled over a period of 18 to 25 months depending on complexity and modification.  These specialty movements are created by some of finest movement makers in the world.

Our timepieces are created in limited editions of 10 to 200 individually numbered pieces.  Most models are certified Chronometers by the Geneva, Switzerland based COSC (Controle Officiel Suisse des Chronometres).  Each movement built for the Bozeman Watch Company undergoes 15 days of rigorous accuracy testing and regulation.  These movements are guaranteed to be in the top 3%  of accuracy and are manufactured to the highest standards in the industry today. The end results are timepieces with tried and tested mechanical watch expertise combined with the innovative spirit of American watch making.

I like it, too, especially the second edition, which turns out to be the least expensive. 'Least expensive' being a relative term...sorry to be the bearer of not-so-good-news, A:

These Montana-made watches are pretty damned pricy...the last ones Neds posted were in the $19-26K range. Must be all that damned fresh air and water goin' to their haids...
